Life is short. Lashes don't have to be.

Who doesn’t want eyes that pop?  No matter what your eye shape or color, long and full lashes undoubtedly give that dramatic look we all desire.  I’ve had semi-permanent lashes.  They were fantastic in the beginning.  The upkeep was way too much for me to handle, not to mention the fact that they completely destroyed my natural lashes.  I decided to ditch the falsies and give my natural lashes a chance to thrive.  We care for our hair, so why not our eye lashes, too?  Taking care of your lashes will show positive results, but let’s be honest…This isn’t something that just happens overnight.  It will take months of care before you see results.  I’ve been working on growing out my natural lashes for about a year now.  Here are some tips that have helped me:

  1. Remove all your eye makeup at the end of each day.
Both the skin and hair follicles around the eyes are very delicate.  Mascara is heavy and weighs down your lashes, pulling them out over time.  Makeup also clogs the skin around the lashes, making it harder for new growth to occur.  Removing your makeup at night will help with both of these issues.
  1. Apply Olive oil or Vaseline to your lashes.
This will help your lashes grow longer and stronger without the hefty price tag of some of the other lash growing serums.
  1. Diet is everything.
When you have an unbalanced diet, your hair, skin and nails are always the first to suffer.  Make sure you never skip breakfast and always include a small amount of healthy fat in your diet.  Don’t starve yourself to get skinny.  Every single part of your body will feel the effects.
